I Had Orbital Decompression Surgery For TED 4 Weeks Ago. My Right Eye Is Not Straight Yet And I Am Experiencing Double Vision.

Has anyone experienced the same? Did it resolve on its own and if so, how long did it take?

It’s understandable to feel concerned about your eye not being straight and experiencing double vision after orbital decompression surgery. Four weeks is still relatively early in the healing process, and it often takes time for swelling to subside and your eyes to settle into their new position. Double vision is a known side effect for some after this surgery, but it’s definitely worth discussing with your doctor, especially if it’s impacting your daily life.

Has your care team mentioned follow-up options like prism glasses or possible adjustments for double vision? Keeping them updated on your symptoms is key as you continue to heal. Sending you patience and encouragement—your body is working hard to recover! 💙✨
